The wonderful thing about the blues world is once you know the idiom's very simple form, and have a bit of an understanding of the 'language' involved, you can sit in and play with just about anyone.

The Australian Blues Society is all about people playing together.

It's not an open-mic, it's a JAM. Several people playing together.

Musicians come from everywhere - Sydney, Newcastle as well as the Central Coast - to PLAY together. Some of these will be players you recognise.

At these jams, there are outstanding players ... but there are no stars, because everyone comes as an equal contributor.

(BTW, some great bands have already been formed out of these get-togethers.)

IT ALL HAPPENS ONCE A MONTH

The jams will happen on a Sunday - usually during the day - once a month.

Top quality equipment, PAs, mic, amps etc are provided. All you have to do is turn up with your mouth or your instrument.

And it happens HERE

Where? The venue will be announced a couple of weeks in advance.

There are THREE ways you can ensure you know about these in time:

(1) Via our Facebook page (but you have to keep checking)

(2) Adding your name to our FB musician-only database so you can be certain of not missing out on the day, or confirming your spot in advance.

(3) Or if you choose not to use Facebook, just add your name to our musician only database HERE. And we'll let you know.
